Back in 2010 CherryPal released the $188 Android tablet, that borrowed a lot from the iPad and now gets a successor. The CherryPad 7 is a 7 inch Android slate, just like its predecessor and we learn that it upgrades the screen to 1024 x 600 pixel capacitive unit with multi-touch.
The price will be kept below $400, but still that’s double the amount paid for the first product. Specs also include a VGA and 3MP camera with autofocus and LED flash, plus a 1GHz Cortex A8 CPU. 512MB DR and 8GB/16GB storage will do the trick, plus those 32GB microSD expandable memory. The slate will be powered by a 4200 mAh battery and Android 2.2 will be running the show on the Cherrypad.
