It appears that projectors integrated onto tablets and phones are making a comeback, since we’ve just found a brand called Akyumen, that is preparing phones and tablets with built in projectors. Those include a 10.1 inch Windows tablet, a 5.5 inch Android phone and a 7 inch phablet all of them with projectors.

This trio includes the Holofone Phablet, a 7 inch Windows 10 tablet with an Intel Atom x5-Z8300 Cherry Trail CPU, 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. There’s also a 3500 mAh battery on board and a 35 lumen projector, useful to project your favourite sporting events. This product offers WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS, plus NFC and there’s even a SIM card slot with 4G LTE in the mix.

This device runs Windows 10, but it’s also compatible with Android, according to Akyumen, so it’s probably a dual OS device. Then there’s the 10.1 inch Falcon projector tablet, with a price between $600 and $950 and a 40 lumen projector. It includes a 6000 mAh battery and there aren’t any cellular capabilities here.
