DataWind has debuted two new UbiSlate tablets in India, the 10Ci and 3G10 models, with good specs and good prices associated. The UbiSlate 10Ci is priced at $96, while the 3G10 goes for $158. It’s surprising to see two new 10 inch tablets, on the current market, that’s being overrun with 7 inchers and 8 inchers.
DataWind is the same company that created the low cost Aakash slates, so you’ve probably heard of them. The newcomers are 10.1 inch 1024 x 600 models, with HDMI ports and both have 6000 mAh batteries. The 10Ci is a WiFi only affair and it’s powered by a 1.1 GHz dual core processor, a Cortex A9, that helps it run Android 4.4 KitKat. It also comes with a 2 MP rear camera and a VGA front shooter.
Meanwhile, the UbiSlate 3G10 has 3G connectivity, a SIM slot and a 1.3 GHz dual core Cortex A7 processor. It runs Android 4.2 and comes with a 5 MP main camera, as well as a VGA front cam. Both models have 1 GB of RAM and the WiFI one comes with 4 GB of storage and double that amount for the 3G unit. They also bundle microSD card slots, Bluetooth and they can be found on Snapdeal.
