Since the Galaxy Tab 3 had a kids version and an education version, the Tab 4 is getting the same treatment already. There’s a new version of it called Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Education and it’s detailed below.

This model is designed to support the scalable 1:1 computing initiative in K-12 schools, so it’s a student-friendly product, that’s reasonably rugged and it’s designed to work alongside Google Play for Education. It can be managed via a web based console and it’s available for schools districts, that will deploy it in the academic year 2014-2015. Educators will get access to a wide range of teacher-approved applications, plus books and videos.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Education can be used in the classroom to ease the teaching and learning process. The cost is $369.99 per device and it comes with a guaranteed future upgrade to Samsung School. Specs include a 10.1 inch 1280 x 800 pixel display, Android 4.4 KitKat, WiFi, rear and front camera, 16 GB of storage and a microSD card slot. The battery provides 10 hours of life.
