We all know that the Mobile World Congress is the perfect time to unveil new products: it’s the start of the year, all companies have great expectations, the public needs a buzz after the Xmas holidays… Well, it seems that MWC 2012 will be busier than ever, since it will mark the beginning of the quad core era and HTC will be part of it.
Chinese publication Commercial Times is reporting that HTC intends to unveil a new Android tablet with quad core CPU from Nvidia at MWC 2011. Also, we’re to expect two new smartphones with Android from the same company. The quad core slat will launch before Windows 8 is out, so that means before the end of Q3 2012, according to the same paper.
Over the past week we’ve heard a lot about a HTC quad core phone and now the same article says that we’ll see at least a four core Nvidia-powered handset at the next MWC. Will HTC be the first with such a smarphone? Will they follow ASUS with their tablet, or miss being second in that segment? We’ll see…
