There’s a fresh shipment of 4G LTE microSIM cards coming to AT&T locations, pointing towards a flood of upcoming LTE handsets/tablet. Although the public’s favorite would be Nokia Lumia 900 here, it appears that the iPad 3 might also be LTE material. The carrier also wanted that existing microSIMs on stock were scrapped and relied on the new ones instead.

Another device that could use them is the Pantech Burst phone, but with the iPad 3 supposed to launch next month, Apple’s latest toy could be an alternative. The new slate is expected to bring a quad core CPU, a Retina Display, improved cameras and hopefully LTE, a feature that has been requested both on the last gen iPhone and iPad. Maybe this time Apple will listen, unless they’re absurd enough to invent their own connectivity standard as alternative to 4G LTE. I’ve heard they were planning an alternative for NFC, so anything is possible…

Meanwhile, keep an eye on those microSIMs and maybe an AT&T employee will be careless enough to say what they’re meant for. Excited about the new iPad? Getting one? Leaving your impressions in the Comments sections below.
