Today we get to know something different from the tech world. Apparently, earlier this month a prototype iPad was stolen in a home robbery along with other valuables. While the suspects have been arrested, it seems that the stoled goods have not been found at the moment.

According to a report from Mercury News, the robbers kidnapped a 20-year-old man and took some electronics, prescription drugs, about $7.500 in cash and the unreleased iPad from its house. For the moment, is still unclear if the stolen tablet was a future device or a previous test one.

This news comes after the story from 2010 when an Apple engineer forgot an iPhone 4 prototype at a bar. The guy who found it sold it later for about $5000 to a reporter. It remains to see if the police will ever find this iPad tablet soon enough.
