Taiwanese suppliers have confirmed recently that Toshiba will be launching an Android tablet in September or October, with the device being powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 processor. The slate will feature a 10 inch touchscreen and it’ll be based on an unknown version of Android. Apparently, the tablet will bear the SmartPad branding and it’ll feature HDMI output and a USB port.

Toshiba’s product will rely on a touch display, with multitouch support, plus a digitizer. Sources estimate that production will reach 40,000 to 50,000 units of the new tablet before the year end.
