Thomson has just introduced the FCC its PoMMeS tablet and in case you’re wondering what the deal with Apple is in the headline, know that “pommes” is French for “apple”. The device sports an 8 inch WVGA touchscreen and this is a slate that supports TV features, VoIP, browsing the web and uses a D-pad on the side.
PoMMeS also comes with a USB 2.0 port, microphone and headphones socket and a power port. Although the info supplied by Thomson is very limited, we’ve learned that the device uses stereo speakers and a desktop docking station, so media streaming will be primary use of this gadget.
