JXD is a device maker that we’ve associated with gaming tablets in the past and they’ve just launched a brand new device of this kind. The new JXD S5110b is a total PSP clone as far as design goes, but the specs are far more powerful.

The product is available for $87 a pop, which is very affordable and you can even find it for $81 if you know where to look. This handheld gadget is powered by a 1.5 GHz AMlogic MX-S dual core ARM Cortex A9 processor and it comes with 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage and a microSD card slot. There’s also a 5 inch 800 x 480 pixel display on board with support for 5 point multitouch and Android 4.1 is the OS of choice.

There are analog sticks available on the left and right sides of the screen, start and select, too, plus a directional pad and 4 physical buttons, exactly the layout of the PSP. JXD claims that their system can easily emulate classic gaming devices like the PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64 and GameBoy Advance. You can also map the hardware buttons to Android games, obviously and even connect the device to a TV via HDMI.
