If you’re into business tablets, then stray away from the Lenovo ThinkPad slate and maybe check out Dell’s Latitude ST. It’s true that the price is quite big at $859, but this time you’re getting your money’s worth. This is a 10.1 inch Windows 7 tablet PC that maybe in the future will get Win 8.

The product ships by November end and in case you’re not familiar with the slate, know that it supports a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, it integrates an Intel Atom Z670 single core CPU and comes with a SSD of the Mobility kind with 128GB of storage. There’s also 2GB of RAM on board (SDRAM DDR2), a N-Trig active digitizer and digital pen.

The battery life is pretty poor, as usual with Windows tablet, amount to 6 hours. This business tablet stays true to its segment and offers management and security features, wireless network adapters and mobile broadband. Also, you can get your choice of the OS, from Win 7 Home Premium 32 Bit, Win 7 Professional 32 bit and Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit. The whole package weighs 816 grams and costs $859… Getting one?

  • I think it is a bit late for Dell to enter the market. And also, it is a bit early because may be it should be better to use Win 8 in such a tablet. I do not say Win7 is bad but 8 will be awesome!
