It’s all small diagonals nowadays and big diagonals in tablets. How can one explain that?! Well, there’s the occasional behemoth of a tablet, something like the 13.3 inch model below. 13 inch slates are no novelty, since Archos had its FamilyPad model with such a screen in 2012. And now we meet the Colorfly CT132.

This is device with a laptop sized screen and packing the popular Allwinner A31 quad core CPU. The price tag for this product is $330 on the US retailers AliExpress or DealExtreme. Colorfly CT132 comes with an ARM Cortex A7 CPU with PowerVR SGX 544 graphics, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. There’s also a microSD card slot and the resolution is 1280 x 800 pixels, a bit underwhelming for such a big screen.

The slate runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and its feature list includes a 2 megapixel front camera, a rear 2 MP shooter, WiFi, HDMI and 8000 mAh battery, that should provide about 8 hours of use. Of course, the device may be a bit large for people looking for portability, but at least you get a giant display to play Fruit Slice on.
