Announced at CES 2013, the ASUS VivoTab Smart, that we reviewed HERE is now supposed to get a very nice bundle, that involves a TransSleeve keyboard cover. This is an Intel Atom Z2760 dual core device with a 10.1 inch 1366 x 768 pixel display based on IPS technology. Last I heard, the product was priced at $499, but we can’t tell how the price will change with the TransSleeve included.

You should also know that the slate has an 8 megapixel cam at the back, that actually does some nice pics and videos, as shown in our review. there’s also a 2 megapixel front camera for high resolution video calls. The cool thing about the TransSleeve is that it both brings a physical keyboard to the device, but also is protects the screen. Sadly we have no price or release date for the bundle.

If the price is anywhere below $600, this will still be a hot deal and we say that having tested the slate, that’s able to function with no lag whatsoever and bring you the Windows 7 desktop experience with the .exe files installed, plus Windows Store apps, plus the Modern UI tiles.

In my country it’s about 500 euros, a much better deal than any tablet, because it can replace a cheap laptop. Asus has a clear win here, because the tablet has a good price and it’s a quality build. With this keyboard, if bundled without price increase, competition is destroyed.
We all know cocaine like price of Samsung and Lenovo devices. Acer is out of the question, it’s a faulty tablet with design problems and heat issues.
