Recently, Microsoft has announced on their Windows Blog that the pricing tier structure between the Windows Phone and Windows 8 store it’s going to be consolidated very soon, as a move intended to make developers create universal apps that will work on both platforms.
In this way, developers can create apps which will work and charge the same ammount of money on both platforms. Buyers will now have to pay just for once. We find out that 55% of transactions made on the Windows Phone store are generated by the $0.99 and $1.29 pricing tiers.
Also, Microsoft made adjustments for changes in foreign exchange rates, taxes and market-specific pricing. Now developers can head to Dev Center and review their app pricing and to make any other adjustments for the apps.
