  • It’s been a while since our last contact with a Xiaomi product, which I guess was back when we played with the Mi Pad models. Now we’re toying with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X, a metal phablet with a pretty good potential. We unboxed it below and you can find it on GearBest.com, priced at only $143.99 by using the following coupon code: NoteA4X.

This is a 5.5 incher with a big battery and inside its box we found a charger, USB cable, manual and metal key. The smartphone measures 8.5 mm in thickness and has a rounded metal body, that’s quite comfy to hold. Upfront we find a 5.5 inch Full HD screen, as well as 5 MP selfie camera, while the back hosts a fingerprint scanner and the main 13 MP camera.

Inside there’s a Snapdragon 625 processor and 3 or 4 GB of RAM, as well as 32 or 64 GB of storage. A microSD card slot completes the list, as well as a 4100 mAh battery. This model runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8 on top and this is actually our first contact with this flavour of MIUI, that’s quite clean and well organized.

This is a dual SIM machine, that seems to offer a pretty good performance at first sight, for its price tag. You can find the product right here, at $239.
