The LG G Pad trio of slates has been released many months ago, but we’re still waiting on the 4G LTE versions of these devices. The LG G Pad 10.1 4G is one step closer to release, as proved by the FCC approval that happened over the past days.

This model got the FCC blessing on October 24th, with FDD-LTE connectivity and the codename LG-VK700. The product was also certified for use on Bluetooth and WiFi and it supports WiFi in the a/b/g/n standards. and 5.x bands, as well as the 2.4 GHz bands. LG G Pad 10.1 4G will be offered by Verizon and we expect to see special offers on contract. The basic version of the tablet came in July and back then it measured 8.9 mm and weighed 523 grams.

It’s possible that the new model weighs more and is also a bit thicker. The tablet comes with dual mono speakers, 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, together with an IPS LCD 10.1 inch 1280 x 800 pixel display. We’ve also got a 5 MP back camera, 1.3 MP front cam, Android 4.4.2 KitKat and a Snapdragon 400 quad core processor inside. The battery is a 8000 mAh unit.
