Last week we had a story about the Chuwi VX8 3G tablet with a 64 bit CPU. At the time we praised the looks of the model and it was all in the realm of speculations and leaks. Today we get official information about the device, suiting what we already knew.

VX8-3G-2

This is indeed a device powered by a 64 bit Intel quad core processor and it features an 8 inch 1280 x 800 display with wide view angles and IPS panel. We also get 400 cd/m maximum brightness and anti fingerprint technology applied to it, as well as OGS. Chuwi VX8 3G relies on a 1.83 GHz chipset, of the Intel Bay Trail kind and it comes with 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage, a microSD card slot that supports up to 32 GB extra and GPS.

Bluetooth 4.0 is available as well, OTG support is on the list and inside there’s a custom MBELL battery with 5000 mAh capacity. Two cameras are integrated on the slate, a 5 megapixel one at the back and a front 2 MP one. Finally, there’s a light and proximity sensor and unless the source of our info is wrong, this tablet is supposed to do video capture in Full HD at 60 FPS, which sounds extreme to me.
