Pocketbook 360 Gets Reviewed (Video)


The folks of Mobile Review have managed to get hold of a Pocketbook 360 unit, reviewing the E-book reader in front of the camera. The review is available in the video below and you should know that this is a 5 inch E Ink Vizplex device we’re talking about, packing an accelerometer, a Samsung 400 MHz CPU and Linux.

Pocketbook 360 comes with a Li-Polymer 1000 mAh battery, 64MB RAM, 512MB internal memory, a microSD card slot, mini USB connectivity, RSS News, a calendar, notes, Sudoku and various other games. It provides support for tons of E-book formats like FB2, FB2.zip, TXT, PDF, RTF, HTML, PRC, CHM, DJVU, DOC, EPUB, TCR.

PocketBook 360, a Very Fancy E-reader

If you’re a lady looking for a fancy e-book reader, PocketBook 360 might be your thing. The device uses a 5 inch E Ink Vizplex display, a G Sensor/accelerometer and a 400 MHz Samsung CPU. It runs on Linux and supports many E-book and image formats.

The device also packs RSS News, Calendar, Notes, Games and supports mini USB connectivity. As far as memory is concerned, you get 64MB RAM, 512MB internal memory, with 466MB user accessible. A microSD/microSDHC card gives you more storage space and a Li-Polymer 1000 mAh battery gives you more time to read using this product.

The e-reader is available in ivory and black, with a 10mm waistline turning to 12mm, with the cover on.

Dulin’s Books Launches PocketBook 360, 301+ E-book Readers

Talk about companies coming from nowhere only to launch a fresh product and take over the market… Dulin’s Books has just launched two fresh e-readers, PocketBook 360 and 301+ in the US, the first being a different version of a recent Mentor-branded reader.

PocketBook 360 comes with a 5 inch Vizplex display, 512 MB of internal memory, a microSD card slot for extra memory and an OS based on Linux. The device is available in black or white and it supports all sorts of e-book formats, even EPUB.

Moving on to the PocketBook 301+ model, this e-reader is a “brother” to the Foxit eSlick and Hyper Gear e-readers. It also comes with EPUB support, a bigger display (6 inch Vizplex screen), plus media playback and gaming features. PocketBook 360 costs $240, while the 301+ unit will set you back $275.

A stylus-equipped model, Boox will also be launched soon.
