ASUS DR-570 E-Book Reader Features an Impressive Battery Life: 122 Hours

ASUS showed everyone concepts at CES 2010, plus a tablet that was a mere mockup, so they basically didn’t innovate anything just yet.

However, we were pleased to find out about a new E-book reader, ASUS DR-570, that got detailed on the Times Online’s InGear.

Apparently, this is a device sporting a 6 inch OLED display, support for Flash video playback, WiFi and 3G connectivity. An impressive feat of this E-reader is its battery, that should last for 122 hours with a single charge.

As far as the launch date is concerned, the ASUS DR-570 should arrive by the end of 2010, hopefully with a reasonable price tag.

RollTop is a Foldable Notebook Concept With an OLED Display

RollTop is a pretty interesting notebook concept, that’s flexible and foldable, being able to turn into some sort of paper roll lookalike device. The concept packs a 17 inch flat screen OLED display, supporting multitouch and using an interface that resembles the user-friendliness of the iPhone. Here’s a video showing what the concept is all about:

What’s really interesting is that the notebook can be folded into a 13 inch tablet PC and this device is truly portable, as demonstrated by its hanging belt, allowing it to be carried more easily. Said belt will also be used to power Rolltop, another ingenious idea, saving the user extra space.

When folded, the device is as compact as a water carrier and you should know that it also comes with a full keyboard.
