NEC Biglobe Tablet, a 7 Inch Device Looking Hot
Dec 23, 2009 NEC
NEC has just joined the gang of tablet makers, by putting out the Biglobe device, a 7 inch tablet with a 800 x 480 display. The gadget is powered by Google Android and supports quite a bunch of connectivity options, like LAN, USB, WiFi, 3G and WiMAX.
The product weighs a mere 380 grams, which is great for the features it provides. Seeing that this device is meant to be connected to the Internet at any time, is it possible to also see the Google Chrome OS running on it?

Telstra Prepares T-Hub Tablet for Launch, Device Looks Like the iPhone
Oct 31, 2009 Tablet related
Telstra have just unveiled a brand new product, dubbed T-Hub, a tablet that looks like a bigger iPhone and packs a 7 inch display. The hardware incorporates a cordless handset and it’s in early development phase for now. Bugs are being ironed out and the UI is getting improved as we speak. Regarding the price and launch date, we have no info right now.
T-Hub is considered “the fourth screen” in the home, according to Holly Kramer, group managing director of Telstra product management. The device shares some feats with iiNet’s BoB and it uses Telstra’s PSTN network instead of VoIP. This mobile device should provide a new experience, since it packs a touchscreen display and a cordless handset, plus it supports PSTN calling.
Also, we learn that the touch experience is provided resembles the one on the iPhone and HTC and that Telstra’s product integrates support for YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, in their mobile versions.

Windows Mobile 6.5 Goes Tablet, C-motech’s Mangrove Runs the OS
Oct 26, 2009 C-motech
Windows Mobile 6.5 looks decent enough to run on bigger screens than those like Toshiba TG01, so it shouldn’t surprise us to see the OS on a tablet, for example. Take C-motech’s Mangrove 7 inch tablet with its 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, a device that runs Microsoft’s latest mobile OS.
One can also consider this device a MID, or a very big smartphone, but we’ll settle with calling it a tablet, one that comes with WiFi, 3G and WiMAX connectivity. The display supports both landscape and portrait modes and Mangrove also features 2 USB ports and a microSD card slot. No info on the price or launch date of the device.
