Camangi Webstation First Impressions Revealed

Camangi’s Webstation is a pretty cool Android tablet, that has finally reached the hands of the first folks who pre-ordered it. Thus, the device is ready for testing and the first impressions. You can have a look at the unboxing video and hands on experience after the break, if you’re curious.
Turns out that the tablet is very much like an Amazon Kindle or Barnes & Noble nook, as far as looks are weight are concerned. Build quality is pretty good, or so claim the folks who got hold of the device, that can be yours for a pretty reasonable amount of cash: $399. Its specs include WiFi, Bluetooth, a 7 inch WVGA touchscreen display and Camangi’s own download store (Camangi Market).
Real world performance and a couple of days of testing will reveal the true potential of this Android tablet, but CES 2010 is coming and we’ll see even more interesting devices there.

Camangi WebStation Android Tablet Now Available for Preorder

Camangi WebStation is a 7 inch Android tablet (the world’s first), available now for preorder and providing very cool Internet features. Its price is $389.99, which is quite good, specially if you consider that the product comes with web, ebook features, email, a digital picture frame function and more.
There’s also a 7 inch screen on board, 3G support, all of that in a package that weighs 13.75 ounces and with a thickness of half an inch. Free shipping is also attached to the offer and the arrival of the product is scheduled before the end of December, at least in the US, Japan and Taiwan.
Camangi WebStation’s specs list also includes a 4000 mAh battery, WiFi, GPS, a 624 MHz CPU, 128 MB Mobile DDR, 256 MB NAND memory, a G sensor, a 3.5mm audio jack, a microSD card slot and a built-in speaker.

Camangi WebStation, the Android Tablet With a 7 Inch Touchscreen

Camangi has recently released a pretty cool Android tablet, just as major companies like Apple and Microsoft are gearing to launch similar products of their own. Dubbed the WebStation, this 7 inch tablet packs a touchscreen display and runs Android 1.5.
Camangi WebStation features GPS, a microSD card reader, WiFi (802.11 b/g), a coupled of “bake in” apps, among which there’s a web browser and Gmail. You can use this device as an e-book reader, a music player, a photo frame or simply a movie player, thanks to a stand at the back.
WebStation also features a USB hub and a rechargeable battery and its price tag is $399, with the availability scheduled for next month.

Camangi WebStation 7 Inch Android Tablet Pops up With Mystery Campaign

Camangi’s WebStation is a pretty mysterious Android Tablet with a 7 inch touchscreen display and a cool promotional campaign, meant to advertise the product. The official site of the device was down last time we checked, but we’ve got Google’s cache for details, like the Android 1.5, Marvell 624 MHz PXA303 processor and GPS.
Wi-Fi b/g, Bluetooth 2.0, a USB host port and dual cameras are also on board, together with a front 0.3 megapixel camera for video calls. There’s also a 2 megapixel one at the back for amateur photographers. Back to the display for a minute, the same source reveals that the screen is a resistive hard glass unit with a WVGA 800 x 480 pixel resolution.
In case you’re wondering about the battery, this device packs a 4000 mAh unit, that provides 4-5 hours of operating time and 3 days of idle status functioning. Google Maps, email, an e-book reader and support for most audio and video formats are also to be mentioned.
