  • Samsung debuted a new tablet today, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 2016 model, with a budget price and pretty good midrange specs. The device is pictured below and it’ll be sold in South Korea first.

It’ll be available in a WiFi only and then a LTE model. The device packs a 10.1 inch Full HD screen with a 16:10 aspect and inside we find an octa core 1.6 GHz processor, as well as 2 GB of RAM. The OS of choice is Android 6.0 Marshmallow and we find an 8 megapixel back shooter here, plus a 2 MP front camera. There’s a 7300 mAh battery included, a microSD card slot a Child Mode available.

The product debuts at $309 in local Korean stores, where it’s available in black or white. It’ll also be available in an LTE model, that should cost about $50 more. Interestingly, while the device is promoted as a landscape tablet, the press shots make it feel like a portrait one…
