  • Intel-based phablets and tablets are about to get much more appealing, courtesy of a special offer coming from retailer GearBest.com. That includes the Teclast X89 Kindow Reader model, with a 7.5 inch screen and a price tag of just $73.39.


    This unit works as both an ebook reader and a tablet, plus it comes with a Samsung IPS display offering a 1440 x 1080 pixel resolution. Inside there’s a quad core Intel Z3735F processor, clocked at 1.33 GHz, plus 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. Then we get a microSD card slot, WiFi connectivity, a micro HDMI port and a 3500 mAh battery.

      From an “ebook reader” I expect a matte display and long battery duration. Are there any indications for this?

      Dual boot on 32GB ROM? Waste of space. Android 4 – WTF? Too small battery. Will not last even 5 hours. FAIL.
