  • If you’re looking to purchase a brand new slate from Verizon, you may be interested to get the ASUS ZenPad Z8, that just leaked via Evan Blass. We haven’t heard this name before and the ZenPad Z series doesn’t feel familiar.

The device packs an 8 inch 1536 x 2048 pixel display and inside the device we find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 hexa core CPU, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. This feels like a midrange affair, that comes with Verizon branding and LTE connectivity. Storage is expandable and the OS of choice is Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

There’s an 8 megapixel back camera here and a front 1.8 MP shooter, too. There’s no price unveiled for the ZenPad Z8 and also there’s no clear launch date, but with Computex just around the corner, we expect an unveiling as soon as possible. From what I can see, Zen UI is here in the latest flavour, which may or may not mean bloatware.
