  • Probably one of the most interesting announcements during the CES 2016 show was the Samsung Galaxy TabPro S launch, a 12 inch tablet that runs Windows 10 operating system. This device arrives on the market as an alternative to Microsoft’s Surface lineup, or for the Apple iPad Pro 12.9 inch slate that was released back in November 2015 on the market.

Starting today, Samsung’s new slate is available in Canada for a $1399 price tag. For this amount of money we’ll get a product with 12-inch AMOLED display (2560 x 1440 pixels resolution), with a dual-core Intel Core M processor clocked at 2.26 GHz, 4 GB of RAM memory and 128 GB space of internal storage + microSD card support up to 64 GB.

This slate comes with two 5-megapixel cameras (one on the back, and another placed on the front), and with a 5200 mAh battery. On the connectivity side, there’s WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, an infrared port, and USB 3.1. With a dedicated keyboard dock you can convert this tablet into a real notebook, and thanks to Windows 10 OS we’re getting a lot of productivity features here.

Canadian $? Windows Home or Pro?

If the display were matte, the tablet had a digitizer, the price is in CAN and Windows is Prio, the price might be ok. But with the missing feature, it is way too expensive.
