  • Acer announced today a new tablet, the Iconia Tab 10 model, also known by the codename A3-A40. This device is priced at 229 euros and brings a 10 inch screen, as well as 4 Acer Quadio speakers.

This device is meant for office presentations, audio enjoyment and entertainment in general. Its 4 speakers are placed at the front and come with DTS-HD Premium Sound tech, plus we get a very accurate screen with Acer Precision Plus technology. This is a Full HD IPS screen we’re talking about and the Iconia Tab 10 measures 8.9 m in thickness, plus it looks pretty elegant.

Inside we find a quad core 64 bit MediaTek MT8163A processor, 2 GB of RAM and up to 32 GB of storage and a microSD card slot. Android 6.0 Marshmallow is the OS of choice here and the battery life is 8 hours. Connecting to big screens for playback is easy, thanks to Wireless Display and micro HDMI connectivity. Back to the acoustics, Acer promised to offer Virtual Surround Sound and 5.1 surround support.

Finally, there’s a 5 MP back camera and a 2 MP front shooter in the mix as well. Software-wise, we get a function called Acer Ez, that increases the size of UI elements, including font size.
