Acer Aspire Switch Alpha 12 S Convertible Tablet Leaked, Coming on April 21st in New York
Acer is about to unveil a new tablet, a model dubbed Acer Aspire Switch Alpha 12 S, packing Windows 10 and a convertible format. The resemblance between this model and the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is pretty clear and some may even call it a clone. The device has just leaked ahead of its unveiling on April 21st in New York.
This is an Intel Core powered model, with a built in kickstand and a keyboard that clearly resembles the one of the Microsoft Surface. It also brings active digitizer support and a small flip where you can insert the stylus, the Acer Pen. Aspire Switch Alpha 12 S relies on the latest 6th generation Intel Core Skylake processors and comes with an Intel Core i5 (6200U) CPU inside, accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
Specs also include a full size USB 3.0 port, an USB type C port as well, plus back and front cameras, as well as an optional Intel RealSense 3D set of cams. The built in kickstand feels a lot like the ones of the new HP tablets, such as the HP Elite x2. The brushed anodized aluminum shell looks nice, though and there’s a 12 inch screen upfront, possibly with a generous resolution.
