  • Instagram arrived recently on Windows 10 Mobile and now another big name is making its way onto the core Microsoft platform. It’s Facebook Messenger, arrived in beta phase on Windows 10 and demoed below.

Right now it’s only available on PCs and tablets that run the latest versionn of the OS, the one for x86 units. Judging from what the people in the conversation from the video are saying, the experience is very similar to what you get from Messenger.com. GIFs and stickers are available, as well as groups and notifications, apparently.

It all feels like a blown up version of a mobile app, to be honest, but simplicity is always a good thing. Group chats are available, as well as live tiles for messages waiting for you. You can send photos and videos and know when people see your messages. Then you can create groups for people you message most and forward messages or photos to people who aren’t in the conversation.

Have you tried the app? How’s it working out for you? You can download it here by the way.
