  • AT&T has started the software upgrade for the LG G Pad X 10.1 slate, also known under the codename V930. People who own one such device, may receive a notification about the update, that includes NumberSync support plus the Phone app.

The update comes via OTA and brings security updates, plus a few more performance tweaks. This update is more than it seems, because it’s the first one to bring support for the AT&T NumberSync service to an Android-powered tablet. The service was introduced in Last October and interestingly it allows multiple devices to use a single number.

All you need to do is to go to Settings> About tablet> Update Center> Software Update> Update Now. The service from AT&T is appealing because you can use it in case your phone or tablet are out of juice. People can be reached via smartwatch, tablet or handset using a single number. It works over AT&T’s wireless network and doesn’t even need a Bluetooth connection to sync messages and notifications.
