WebOS Tablet Confirmed by HP CEO
May 19, 2010 HP
One of the good things coming out of the HP Palm buyout is that the brilliant webOS platform will be used on HP’s new devices and we mean both smartphones and tablets. Yesterday, HP’s CEO Mark Hurd confirmed our suspicions, announcing that the company is planning to use webOS on slates and web-connected printers.
This sounds like a pretty strange idea, we mean the printer part and all. Lots of printers already rely on basic apps for printing Flickr photos and movie tickets via online services. This kind of software is usually not that great, but a full-fledged OS will surely change the game. And what about that HP webOS Slate?
