Kindle App for Tablets Also Coming to the iPad
Mar 22, 2010 Apple Tablet
Amazon has recently detailed a Kindle app for tablets, including the Apple iPad, also posting a bunch of screenshots on Amazon’s website. NY Times has also had the chance to view some demos of the app and apparently the Kindle experience has become more playful than on e-readers, taking full advantage of the hardware capabilities.
Animated wallpapers are supported, as well as adjustable background colours and more. Turning pages is done with the aid of your fingers and the interface is a breeze, a tablet-based UI that customizes the experience. Amazon wants to wait for the iPad launch, till submitting the app for App Store inclusion, or so they say.
NY Times also mentions that Barn & Noble’s iPad eBook app has had lots of work involved, with 14 developers facing the task since January. Let’s see Apple’s opinion on third party eBook Apps on the iPad now…
