Archos 9 Tablet Gets Dissected, Modded

  • The Archos 9 tablet has just recently been launched and, as you might already know, it incorporates a 1.1 GHz Atom CPU, a pretty slow HDD and Windows 7. If you want to swap that HDD for a faster SSD, you’ll have to dissect the device, that will look something like this:

    In order for the new storage solution to fit the device, it needs to be a 1.8 inch PATA ZIF SSD. As the images show, there’s not much to customize inside the tablet, but looking inside a device like this is a tech fetish that you’ll have to fulfil.
