  • Remember the piece we had on Nokia N920, the rumoured tablet PC, that was supposed to come in 2010? Now it turns out that this was a Photoshop piece of work, a hybrid between an iPhone and a Nokia N800. It was first posted on Nokiaport.de by its owner and than used by a Chinese website on October 15th as a “Nokia N920 leaked picture”.

Thankfully, the industrious folks of itproportal.com dug up for details and revealed the evolution of the rumour.

Of course, rumours surfaced, journalists rushed to take on the story and the snowball got bigger. There was en entire story surrounding the supposed N920, claiming that it’ll come with Maemo 6 on board, without a physical QWERTY keyboard and a 4.13 inch capacitive screen. It’s all the work of journalists’ imagination sadly…

The moral of this story is that you should always check your sources and take nothing for good, specially if it seems too good to be true.
